FAQs

  • DO YOU OFFER FREE SESSIONS?
Yes I do, if you fit certain eligibility conditions. You can read all about it here on my Free Therapy page. 😊
  • WHAT ARE YOUR SESSION CHARGES?
For one-on-one Counselling appointments, I charge $140 per 1 hour session. Couples counselling is $185 per 1 hour session. I will email you an invoice which will enable easy online payment. Please note I do not have EFTPOS facilities. In most instances this fee includes: followup emails or texts (sometimes audio-recordings) to help us both remember discoveries that may have been made in the course of our conversation. My fee also includes another 30 minutes of my time, where I am either preparing for our conversation or reflecting on it after our time together. I will also email you resources between our conversation that you may find useful. These things all combine to contribute to support the people I work with in taking action on any discoveries made during our conversations. This often lends greater effectiveness to the work; and so we may need less sessions!
  • HOW DO I PAY FOR SESSIONS?
As above :-) I will invoice you via email the day before our appointment. There are easy online payment options connected to the invoice. Please note that I have no EFTPOS facilities.

You will need to get your GP to fill in their section and then you'll submit this to WINZ.
  • WHAT IF I WANT TO SPEAK ONLINE?
Sometimes people prefer to talk online rather than an in person appointment. Some of my clients live in different cities. Online therapeutic conversations are still rich and beneficial. I can meet you on Skype, Zoom, or Google Meet. Thursdays is my "online-only" appointments day - , but can also offer online on other days too.
  • WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
I require a minimum of 24 hours notice to enable me to offer the time to others. Failure to do so will result in a full charge for the missed session. If another time can be found for you to attend in the same week, the fee will not be charged. I do however recognise that ‘life happens’ and I am not unreasonable. If circumstances were simply beyond your control, please let me know.
  • ARE YOU A MEMBER OF THE NEW ZEALAND ASSOCIATION OF COUNSELLORS?
